10x8 Summerhouse Installed in Falkirk FK1
A 10x8 corner summerhouse with full-width opening glazed doors, fitted on a gravel grid base in a Falkirk family garden — used as a summer reading room and grandkids' den.

The challenge
The garden sits on heavy clay that floods after rain. The customer specifically didn't want a concrete base — they wanted something permeable that wouldn't make existing drainage worse.
Our solution
We installed a 100mm gravel grid base with a Type 1 sub-base, providing a perfectly level, fully permeable foundation. The summerhouse was assembled in a single day on top, with a finishing day for interior painting and the laminate floor.

"We were dreading a big concrete pour. The gravel grid base is brilliant — totally level, drains perfectly and the summerhouse looks like it's always been there. The grandkids have already claimed it."
